This is the most comprehensive nationwide course designed especially for the mature driver in Canada.
As you age, all of your physical changes come slowly and sometimes are not recognized soon enough. That's why this course is so important. We will do some self assessment question & answer.Before you fix a problem you have to know what it is that needs to be fixed.
We will look at:
1. How you visualize traffic, speed & distance.
2. How your hearing affects your driving.
3. Rules of the road, old & new.
4. New traffic patterns & how they affect your driving.
5. How to prevent bad driving conditions.
6. How to recognize hazardous conditions.
7. How to stay safe in & out of your vehicle.
8. How alcohol & prescription drugs affect your driving.
The result of the course is " HOW TO DRIVE SAFELY AFTER 55".
The course is two (2) three (3) hr sessions over two (2) days. You will be supplied with a workbook, brochures. There will be overhead slides and group discussions.
Upon completion a Certificate from the "Canada Safety Council" will be issued.
The course is given by a certified "Canada Safety Council" instructor.
